Security officials hope to find a way to get laptop computers through airport checkpoints without removing them from their cases. The Transportation Security Administration is looking for a case that would give screeners a clear look at laptops as they pass through airport x-ray machines.

The agency is seeking prototypes from several companies. They hope to test some by June.

The TSA said it believes keeping laptops in their cases would help speed up lines at security checkpoints.
