Episcopal Bishop to Arrive in Fresno

3/14/2008 Fresno, CA Bishop Jerry Lamb is replacing John-David Schofield. Leaders of the Episcopal Church barred Bishop John-David Schofield from performing any religious duties with the church and took away his role as bishop.

Schofield and his congregation left the U.S. denomination in a fight over the Bible and homosexuality.

18 congregations have stated they intend to remain with the U.S. Episcopalian Church.

Lamb will meet with those groups at a special meeting on Friday night.
