Bomber Released Early

A member of the former Symbionese Liberation Army has been released early from a Chowchilla prison.Sara Jane Olson served time for trying to bomb police cars in Los Angeles in 1975. Olson, formerly known as Kathleen Soliah, vanished soon after being charged with the attempted bombings.

She was captured 24 years later in Minnesota. She had changed her name and was living as a housewife with a husband and three daughters.

In 2001, Olson pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

The Los Angeles Police Union is protesting her early release.
