Saturday night during a minor decoy operation coordinated by Alcohol Control and Enforcement officers and the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Petaluma police reported.
The decoy was sent between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. into 11 businesses licensed to sell alcohol and attempted to purchase alcohol, police said. The Thang Long Restaurant, 175 N. McDowell Blvd., and Little Thai Bistro, 109 N. McDowell Blvd., allegedly sold alcohol to the minor decoy, according to police.
The Police Department's Alcohol Control and Enforcement program operates with a grant from the state Alcohol Beverage Control department, and decoy operations are conducted throughout the year.
A city of Petaluma ordinance also requires those who serve alcohol to attend a training class for certification free of charge and valid for two years, police said.
