Moment of Silence for Fresno Teen

3/30/2008 Fresno A couple hundred people gathered at Northpointe Community Church to remember 15-year old Shawn Potter.

They said prayers and sang songs inside the worship center, then lit candles and held a moment of silence.

Everybody says the Central High East sophomore had a whole lot of friends. Daniel Steffen, friend, says "Everybody cared about him, loved him. He was like a brother to everybody. Like a part of their family."

Alexis Lucero, friend, says "He was close to everyone and he was just awesome. There's really nothing negative you can say about him."

Potter died while he and a couple of friends played "chicken" on a railroad track. He tried to jump off the tracks a little too late and died.
