Small plane crashes into Compton homes

Five people are recovering from injuries this morning after a plane crashed into two homes in Compton.The crash was so violent that it sent one of the victims threw the house, breaking several of the victim's bones.

The plane came down yesterday afternoon at 538 West Cypress Street.

According to reports, the flight originated in San Diego and was scheduled to land at Hawthorne Airport when it crashed, officials said. Hawthorne Airport is about seven miles away from Compton Airport.

All five victims were expected to surive their injuries.

Cleanup crews planned to remove the plane from the house with a crane on Sunday.
