About 5 a.m. Sunday, there was an accident with a big rig that resulted in a massive load of lumber being spilled into the 10 freeway.
The big rig lost its load of wood when it collided with another vehicle, then overturned.
Rescuers had to use equipment to free the driver of another vehicle. That motorist was taken to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Even though traffic is being diverted off, passengers are able to use a detour, allowing them to still drive eastbound, although from another exit.
Crews are on the scene cleaning up the mess, and it's expected to be cleared shortly.
