Caught on tape: Deputy crashes into wall

A driver cut off a sheriff's deputy in Lawndale, sending the patrol car straight into a liquor store on Tuesday.Police said the accident happened at about 11 p.m. at West 162nd Street and Hawthorne Boulevard when the driver of an SUV made an unsafe lane change in front of the deputy. The deputy swerved right to avoid a collision, colliding instead with the side of a liquor store.

Authorities said it does not appear the driver was under the influence. No one was injured.
