President made appeal during radio address
5/24/2008 WASHINGTON In his weekly radio address, Bush offers several suggestions for how to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for the country.

Among the suggestions are placing a flag at a veteran's grave, going to a battlefield or saying a prayer.

The president says no words are adequate to console those who have lost a loved ones.

Bush says the moment of remembrance will be marked Monday at 3 p.m. local time. He says at that time Major League Baseball games will pause, the National Memorial Day parade will halt and buglers in military cemeteries will play taps.
