Fire Evacuations Called in Butte County

Hundreds of people north of Sacramento are running from their homes as shifting winds push flames close to neighborhoods.Hundreds of families already left their homes and up to 5,000 more could be evacuated because of a new wildfire.

It started Monday night near the Butte County town of Concow located about 85-miles north of Sacramento.

At 1:15am Tuesday morning, the sheriff issued an immediate evacuation advisory for people in the town and just two hours later expanded it to Yankee Hill.

Officials don't yet know how the fire started.
