The zoo staff tried to calm the chimp named "Ichiro". They tried to coax him with bananas and water ... but when both failed they resorted to tranquilizer guns and darts.
You can see the zoo worker using his gun on Ichiro ... but watch what happens when he turns his back to the chimp.
Ichiro steals the gun away and knocks it out of the worker's hand! Zoo staff says Ichiro is never violent but he is a "boss" figure among the chimps.
They say Ichiro is now safely back in the cage ... Acting like "nothing" ever happened.
