The girl's family found her clothing near Fancher creek canal, just a few feet from their home. The Fresno County Sheriff's Swiftwater Rescue crews and divers have spent the past couple of days searching the canal for her body. Monday night, they lowered the canal to help in the search.
Family members said Jennifer was mentally impaired and had wandered off three times before, but they'd always been able to find her with friends.
