July 30, 2008 10:53:58 PM PDT
A five-thousand dollar camera has helped lead Clovis police to a group of burglary suspects and thousands of dollars in items they're accused of stealing. The camera was just one of hundreds of stolen items found at a home in Clovis ... Everything from jewelry to laptop computers.

It's loot from nine different burglaries in the Clovis area over the last few months.

Police say the suspects targeted homes in newer neighborhoods around Clovis, rang doorbells to make sure no one was home ... then would break in.

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with those crimes.

Investigators were tipped off when someone from a Fresno pawnshop called to say the suspects were trying to pawn a very expensive camera.

Ryan Swank, Clovis Police Detective: "We have lots ... it's nice"

Police say they've matched most of the stolen items to the homes they were taken from.

Those items are being returned to the owners.
