PC Club Customer Takes Matters in His Own Hands

August 8, 2008 11:48:24 PM PDT
A man who owns one of several laptops that were locked inside a now bankrupt repair shop tried taking matters into his own hands.Mike Qualls says two men answered the back door of this PC Club in north Fresno ? but then locked the inner gate when he demanded they turn over his computer.

Quall says they refused, so he called Fresno Police. But the officers who responded said there was nothing they could do because it's a civil case. UPS workers then came to the store and loaded up several boxes, which Qualls says included his computer.

The PC Club closed its doors earlier this month after the corporation that recently acquired the retail chain filed for bankruptcy.

A recorded message at the company's headquarters near Los Angeles says all items will be shipped there ? and then returned to customers in a quote, "Urgent Manner."
