Fresno, CA, USA /*Scott Kinney*/ was wanted all weekend after a domestic violence incident late Thursday.

Fresno police say Kinney left the scene in the victim's car after assaulting her and then threatening her. Investigators say Kinney walked into police headquarters this morning where he was arrested and booked into jail. Kinney represented /*Joseph Nieto*/, a Clovis Unified teacher accused, and eventually acquitted of molesting students. He also defended /*Jamie Soria*/, a former northwest church volunteer convicted of child molestation

Jeff Cardinale, Fresno Police Department: "Mr. Kinney met up with the female victim at a restaurant they in turn drove to another location in northeast Fresno where the two were discussing their relationship. At one point the discussion became heated and Mr. Kinney headbutted the female victim and then began to kick and slap the victim several times before she was able to get inside the residence."

Action News has learned Kinney was also arrested several months ago for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The victim in the latest domestic violence case is Kinney's wife, but the two are separated and undergoing divorce proceedings.

The couple has had approximately five domestic disputes in the past where the Sheriff's Department was called out.
