Chicago could be edging out some of the competition in its efforts to secure the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, according to a story in Sunday's Chicago Tribune.A member of the International Olympic Committee said on the condition of anonymity that Chicago should win the games. The city's layout, including lakefront access, could be to its advantage over other finalist bid cities.

Chicago is competing with several other cities for the Games, including Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.

A final decision will not be made until October 2009.
