"The fleas are in a very small isolated area so they're not allowed to spread. We do a lot of monitoring of the situation. We have flea traps so we can determine where exactly they are," said Assistant Superintendent Eric Cederquist.
Officials with the Fresno County Ag Department said fleas are not uncommon in rural areas. A cat trap has been set outside the northern wing.
The classrooms at Marshall will be closed for another 4 to 6 weeks until all the fleas are gone.
