Here's how he looked after being captured by authorities in the north valley. Quiroz was arrested this Thursday morning in Merced.
Special agents learned Quiroz has been living in Chowchilla, under an assumed name.
He was taken into custody without incident. Investigators say Quiroz admitted to agents that he was the escapee.
Quiroz was four months into a six-year sentence for dealing drugs when he ran away from an outside work crew in 1995.
