The shooting happened just before five o'clock at Poppy and Grove Avenue in southwest Fresno.
Fresno police say two groups of men got into a confrontation in front of a house, and that's when someone pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The unidentified male victim died after being rushed into surgery. One neighbor who declined to give us her name -- says she's a prisoner in her own home.
"Scared I don't even sleep in my room. I sleep on my couch cuz it's the lowest part of my house. Then I go to sleep and I just pray that I wake up the next day."
This is the second homicide near the intersection of Poppy and Grove this month and the fourth killing here in the last fifteen months.
