An Amber Alert is still in place this midday as authorities look for two children from Kings County. Lemoore Police and the Kings County Sheriff are looking 37-year-old Jose Barraza Orellana.
Authorities believe he took 7-year-old Eduardo Orellana and 3-year-old Julisa Arevalo.
Lemoore Police and the Department of Justice are continuing their investigation out at the scene here at Highway 41 and Hanford-Armona Road.
Officers have been out in the field, picking up certain materials and bringing them back to their vehicle. The field here sits right next to a residential neighborhood. Investigators were seen taking pictures on the front porch of the house right across the street from the field.
Lemoore Police said they were called to this are at about 11-pm last night for a medical aid. They found Roxana Arevalo severely injured. Police are now looking for 37-year-old Jose Barraza Orellana, who's suspected of attempted murder and kidnapping.
Officers believe he's headed north, possibly in Stanislaus County, with two children: 7-year-old Eduardo Orellana and 3-year-old Julisa Arevalo.
One woman who lives right next door to the field said she heard a disturbance last night and is shocked by this crime.
"I heard our dogs barking at about and when I opened the glass could hear little children's voices but didn't think anything of I just shut the door and didn't know until this morning that something had happened," said neighbor Sharon Wilson, "it's really alarming something like this would happen because it is really quiet I'm a stay a stay at home mom and it's really a nice neighborhood."
If anyone knows of Jose Orellana's whereabouts they're asked to call police immediately.
Police believe he is driving a light grey 200 Toyota Tacoma with a matching camper shell, the license plate # is 6E70253. Police are warning that he is believed to be armed with a knife and dangerous.
