Authorities say the man fell near the Oak Grove Bridge just a few miles from Three Rivers.

Action News was the only news crew on the scene when a CHP helicopter picked-up the man from the Three Rivers Golf Course. Officials say he was fishing with his family when he slipped and fell.

Kathy Brown of Exeter District Ambulance said, "When we got enough man-power, we sent our medic down and our ranger ... we secured his back and his neck ... we were able to pull the three people out."

The hiker was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno to be treated for cuts on his face and arms.
