Garrigues then called sheriff's deputies who found more remains in the area. "Probably 50 to 75 yards away further up the mountain, looked like articles of clothing, additional bones, and small miscellaneous items," said Sergeant Bryan Armendariz with the Kern County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities don't know whose bones they might be, but said a woman did disappear in the area in May.
