Black Friday still going strong

Fresno, CA, USA Despite the struggling economy, thousands lined up before dawn to get their hands on a bargain. Black Friday, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, didn't disappoint with good deals. What's disappointing are the numbers retailers are expected to bring in.

According to the national retail federation, holiday sales will only rise two-point-two percent this year. It's the slowest growth since 2002.

Clovis store owner, Lisa Case said this year things are different. Retailers may be down, but they're not out. Many are optimistic, hoping good deals will put shoppers and their pocket books in the holiday spirit.

Several retailers are offering deep discounts not just today, but throughout the rest of the weekend. Most stores will be open later than usual. So if you want a good discount, now is the time to shop!
