Multiple earthquakes strike Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, CA

According to the USGS, two earthquakes, including a 3.2 temblor, struck within minutes of each other this morning in the same spot as Friday's quake.

The 3.2 earthquake struck at about 5 a.m. and had a depth of 4.1 miles. A 2.4 quake struck about two minutes later, and had a depth of 3.5 miles.

Both of this morning's quakes were centered 9 miles east-southeast of Watsonville and 12 miles west of Hollister.

Friday's 3.0 earthquake struck at about 10:40 p.m., had a depth of 4.1 miles, and was centered 8 miles east-southeast of Watsonville and 12 miles west-northwest of Hollister, according to the USGS.
