Sandlin said his brother yelled at him about the coyote and that distracted the animal for a moment. But then it got close, circled around him and bit him.
Sandlin said about the bite, "Not very bad, just hurt a little…I pushed him away and then he started circling me again, and then I just took my sock off out of the snowboard and whacked him with this part of my board."
Sandlin's bite wasn't severe, but he was given 11 rabies shots just in case.
