About five inches of fresh snow has fallen in the area since Saturday night, and that's bringing some much needed revenue to the area.Laura Clendenning and her family made the trek from Clovis to buy some sleds and play in the snow.

Kyle Escandon and his friends drove to suit up and take advantage of the nearly five inches of new snow at Sierra Summit. With two lifts running and only 10-percent of the mountain open, employees here at Sierra Summit say this weekend's winter storm is a good start for the 09 ski season.

Sierra Summit's Boomer Devaurs, "One storm gets people excited. This storm that we got yesterday is not nearly enough to really get things going to their potential, but certainly every little bit helps."

Snow lovers couldn't agree more. Though some were wishing for more snowpack, others say, this is just the trick to keep them coming back for more.
