Each inspirational episode ending with a shout to: "Move that bus!" marks a new beginning for a family in need. Five local families were being considered for the next taping of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
The finalist will be revealed Thursday morning with a rousing "good morning!" wakeup from host Ty Pennington.
The Fresno-based family of builders "De Young Properties" will lead the effort to build a house in four and a half days; a monumental project that would ordinarily take months to accomplish.
"We'll be there 24 hours a day pretty much, sleeping on site. We'll be working 13-hour shifts, we'll be in the house with our hard hats all day," said Ryan DeYoung.
Since the hit-show premiered five years ago, Ty and his team of designers have changed the lives of 137 families. Their signature: custom designs that fit the family's needs and personality. Like a home in Livermore, California, with seven sinks for seven sisters and a firefighter themed room for a future firefighter.
Who knows what crazy and creative ideas they'll come up with in Fresno, but we'll find out March 2009 when this episode is scheduled to air.
