NetApp named best company to work for

Mountain View-based Google has been knocked out of the top spot on this year's Fortune list of best companies to work for.

Sunnyvale-based NetApp came in first. The 5,000-employee company provides storage and data management services.

Fortune cited its employee enthusiasm and egalitarian culture.

Second on the list was Edward Jones, followed by Boston Consulting Group.

Google, which topped the list the past two years, dropped to fourth place

San Jose's Cisco Systems was sixth, followed by Genentech in South San Francisco.
