Vaughn and Rena Ireland face child abuse charges connected to the boy's death. Police claim Seth was beaten to death in December.
Family members had suspected the boy was being abused. Both the police and Sheriff's Department said they notified C.P.S. about prior incidents with the family.
Both defendants will return to court next month.
