Shootout in Northeast Fresno

Fresno, CA, USA It all started just before three at the Wells Fargo Bank on Friant and Fresno. And there were several more police scenes, including at the Kohl's in River Park, where the suspect was first located.

Police finally caught him at the Marriott Hotel on Fresno near Herndon. Police say 25-year-old Claudy Philidor walked into the Wells Fargo wearing a mask.

They say he took out a handgun, showed it to a teller and took off with some cash.

When they caught up with Philidor, he was inside a car, just behind the Kohl's department store in River Park.

That's when they say he dumped the gun, jumped out of the car, and ran across Highway 41, before running into another officer, who didn't know the gun was gone.

None of the shots hit Philidor. Officers caught up with him outside the Marriott Hotel in Northeast Fresno.

They later found the gun used in the robbery, as well as the money that was stolen.
