Any bidder who is interested in being able to bid at the March 30th auction is expected to qualify by the March 25th deadline.
Last week three firms expressed interest in bidding to keep Gottschalks open. They include el corte ingles, a Spanish retailer that owns 16 percent of Gottschalks' stock.
