Fresno High Speed Chase

Fresno, CA "This was such a violent suspect that we were not going to let him go," said Lt. Mike Doyle with the Fresno Police Department.

Officers tried to pull over 27-year old Brian Llanes at Blackstone and Shaw just before 10:30pm Wedneday night. Officers said he is a parolee with a history of violent crimes; driving a stolen truck and was considered armed and dangerous.

A helicopter was able to track Llanes and a female passenger from Highway 180 to surface streets.

Officers said the woman was throwing items out of the car during the chase. Just before Llanes was able to get back onto the highway at Brawley Avenue, an officer used a pit maneuver to spin him out and stop the truck.

Officers said he did not cooperate and they sent in the police dog before he was arrested.
