The Red Rocker claimed Barbis violated Cabo Wabo's trademark when he tried to open the restaurant under a different name but didn't get rid of all traces of the Cabo Wabo brand.
Under a settlement filed last week, Barbis has agreed to make significant changes to the restaurant before reopening it.
Both parties agreed to keep other terms of the settlement confidential.
