Witnesses said a man was driving down the street when the boy darted out in front of his car.
That's when family members said the boy was thrown off his scooter.
The boy was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor cuts and bruises and is expected to be okay.
The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police, and it's unknown if he'll be cited.
