On Wednesday ... about 5,000 people are expected to attend the Fresno Tea Party ... which will be held right here outside the save mart center. Organizers say it's expected to be the nations' largest tea party event.

Tax day is less than a week away, and Steve Wayte is scrambling. He's been selling these t-shirts from his Southeast Fresno contracting supply store. To help prepare for Wednesday's tea party at the Save Mart Center. It's one of 600 events being held across the country. All to protest taxes and government spending.

Wednesday's event will feature guest speakers, children's activities and a massive group protest. And KMJ's Chris Daniel will broadcast his show from the save mart center. Fresno Tea Party organizer Melissa Courtney expects more than 5,000 people will show up to the event, which was inspired by the original Boston Tea Party.

Though organizers say the Fresno Tea Party is bi-partisan, Political Analyst Don Larson says it may be geared more towards the Republican Party.

The Fresno Tea Party starts at one o'clock on Wednesday. There are tea parties around the country, including one in Merced. Conservative Commentator Sean Hannity will broadcast his radio show live from one in Atlanta.
