In an exclusive interview on Good Morning America, Johnny Huckaby said when they were together his ex-wife was depressed and taking medication; but said she was a good mom to their daughter, and a care free and non-violent person.

A public memorial for Cantu was held Friday in Tracy. Johnny Huckabee said his daughter is in a safe place and doesn't know about the charges against her mother.
Melissa Huckaby has not spoken publicly since her arrest. She remains in isolation at the San Joaquin County Jail.
