"Many crime victims are not aware of the Victim Compensation Program and how it can help. As a result, many people incur tremendous financial debts after a violent crime has disrupted their lives," said Arambula. "We need to make sure that victims of violent crimes know there are programs out there that can help them financially in difficult times."
The VCP was created with the sole purpose of helping victims of crimes, and their families, who may experience huge bills and debts as a result of being a crime victim. These paid for services include medical treatments, income loss, funeral expenses, insurance co-payment and more.
