H1N1 Flu Confirmed in Visalia Student

Mountain View Elementary will re-open Tuesday
Visalia, CA We just got word minutes ago from a press conference by the Tulare County Health Department that Mountain View Elementary School will open back up Tuesday ... except for Mrs. Cribbs kindergarten class, where one of the students was a confirmed case.

Last week health officials shut down Mountain View Elementary School after the county identified its first probable H1-N1 case in a kindergartner there. Other students at the school were showing flu symptoms but their test results came up negative.

Health officials are still waiting for word on whether the county's second probable case is confirmed.

The county health officer says test results are taking longer to get because the CDC has now allowed the states to take over some of its testing.
