Fresno, CA A Harvard researcher analyzed employment and health data from the last ten years and she found that people who were laid off were twice as likely to develop High Blood Pressure, Diabetes or Heart Disease.

Even people who quickly found a job still had a higher chance of developing the conditions. Doctors say job loss can also impact mental health.
