Record Breaking Amount of Stuffed Animals

Fresno, CA A student effort to collect a record breaking amount of stuffed animals is reaching its final days. And the organizers still need hundreds more of your old toys.

These are some of the toys dropped off at Dominion Pizza at Cedar and Shepherd, which is just one of several drop off locations in town.

A group of Fresno State Marketing students is trying to break the World Record for the largest gathering of plush toys.

They're doing it as a senior class assignment, but they're also hoping to help kids at the same time. All the toys collected will go to local organizations that help children in crisis situations.

Garo Cardoux with Operation Plush said, "It's for a great cause. We'll even take the damaged ones that those will go to the S.P.C.A. and make a puppy happy."

In order to break the record students need more than 5,800 toys, and so far, they only have about 4,000.
