Locks Of Love

Fresno, CA A tent was set up outside of the crown and beauty salon in northeast Fresno today as part of locks of love carnival.

To donate, people had to cut off at least 10 inches of hair that will now be used to make wigs for young cancer patients.

In return, the salon gave away free 'clean up' cuts and a coupon for a discounted cut and style later. One woman gave away more than 24 inches of hair today!

Karen Jackson, Locks Donor said, "I was having problems this morning, sitting on it, trying to get ready to go and to come here. So this is perfect timing, and plus with summer coming, this works, this is good. "

Karen Jackson said it took several years to grow out her hair, but she sees her donation as a way to help others. She said it's one of her special gifts, because her hair grows fast.
