Restocking The Pantry

Fresno, CA This huge moving truck is parked in the borders parking lot at River Park this Saturday, and it's hoped that by Sunday, it will be full of non perishable food items.

Catholic Charities is putting on the food drive to help those who are being impacted by the economic downtown, as well as the drought in West Fresno County.

The 2 day mission began today, and so far, organizers say the response has been good. Still, more help is needed.

Jody Hudson with Catholic Charities said, "We still have a long way to go, we're going to be here Saturday until 11 o'clock, tomorrow from 8 to 6, so we need that assistance to help those people. We need those non perishable items, especially cash donations. We need Fresno's help."

Catholic Charities are also asking for baby items. They said cash donations are especially important, because a five dollar donation can turn into enough cereal to feed 28 families.
