Kings County H1N1 Flu Confirmed

Fresno, CA Kings County Health officials confirmed the county's 1st case of the H1N1 flu virus Saturday.

A child who lives at "Lemoore Naval Air Station" was confirmed to have the virus after becoming ill late last month. The child has since recovered.

The virus is still spreading nationwide. On Saturday, we learned of a 5th U.S. death, a single father from Texas who got sick earlier this month.

Dr. William Burgin, Jr., with Corpus Christi-Neuces Health District said, "He was a single parent, had three children. The children, one was ill, was treated with tamiflu, the other never did get sick and are healthy and doing well. The one with the tamiflu is doing well."

The coroner's office says the man had an enlarged heart which contributed to his death.
