Pushing Propositions

We're two days away from a special election and Governor Schwarzenegger is making one last push to pass six propositions.

He hit churches in the Los Angeles area today, lobbying outside on behalf of propositions 1A through 1F.

The governor and assembly speaker Karen bass went to three different churches today.

Governor Schwarzenegger says if the propositions don't pass, the state will be forced to make deep cuts to education, health care, and other programs. But his campaigning may be too late, despite massive spending in support of the propositions.

Supporters in big business and the biggest teachers union have raised more than 27 million dollars to back them.

Opponents, including a collection of unions and anti-tax groups -- have raised less than four million. Many opponents say they don't need to raise money because polls show voters are strongly opposed to the propositions.
