At least 3 dead as Navy helicopter crashes off CA

SAN DIEGO (AP) Navy spokeswoman Lt. Karen Burzinski says rescue crews recovered three bodies Wednesday and were continuing the search for the other two crew members.

Officials say the SH60 Seahawk helicopter had taken off from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and went down during a training exercise at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Coast Guard and Navy helicopters along with boats from several agencies are continuing the search for the rest of the crew.
