Madera Mans Dies after Driving into Canal

Fresno, CA The Highway Patrol says the 74-year old was trying to pass another vehicle on /*Millerton Road*/ Monday when his truck lost control and ended up in the canal.

Emergency crews searched for the truck for hours ... and finally found it ... pulling it out of the water.

The driver's body was still inside the truck. His identity has not been released.
