Fresno, CA Sammy Hagar's signature is still scribbled on the wall, but in just three weeks every remnant of the old Cabo Wabo will be gone. In its place will be "The Edge" a new Las Vegas style night club.

Kirk Vartanian, Fresno Businessman said, "When I came here and saw everything here, there is nothing like this anywhere else. I mean the idea is all here."

Celebrity guests like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are part of the ambitious plans of Granite Park's new investor Kirk Vartanian, who was once part of a point shaving investigation at Fresno state. Vartanian was never charged in that case.

Vartanian has already helped re-open the public house, and also plans to partner with developer Milt Barbis to open several other restaurants on the site.

"I'm doing everything here, so nobody is going to say anything that we didn't finish this or we didn't pay anybody. Everything is getting done, while we go, we pay everybody." kirk Vartanian said.

Memphis Blues and "Red", a Russian Steakhouse were never completed after the development was sued by various contractors for lack of payment. Barbis says those debts are being taken care of.

Milt Barbis, Granite Park developer said, "We are trying to create something and look at the positive. And we handled everything with all the subcontractors, we're dealing with them and doing a work-out program and a work-out plan with everybody."

Meantime Vartanian is also making plans to turn this empty lot into an outdoor events center for weddings and parties. He also wants to open an 18 and over club.

How much all this will cost?? Vartanian said its too soon to tell, but is confident his investment will pay off.

Vartanian said, "We're going to be on the map. When we have Kim Kardashian here, we're going to be all over the news, all over you-tube. We'll be everywhere. Everybody will know where Fresno is."
