Samsung Recalling "Jitterbug" Cell Phones

Fresno, CA The Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 160-thousand phones made by Samsung might refuse to make an emergency call when in a no-service area.

The Federal Communications Commission requires that a wireless phone be able to reach a 911 call center, even when out of range.

Samsung is contacting consumers to schedule a free software upgrade. Consumers can also call 866-304-4980.
