A California appeals court has sided with Starbucks in a $100 million lawsuit over who could get their hands on the tip jar.

120,000 baristas had sued the company for allowing shift supervisors to get a taste of the tip jar proceeds.

A lower court had sided with the entry level employees, but the appeals court disagreed. It ruled that shift supervisors are also hourly workers and spend enough time helping customers to make the store's tip jar fair game.
