The accused mastermind of a triple murder is expected to take the witness stand in Downtown Fresno Wednesday morning. Gilberto Sanchez is the second man to go on trial for killing three men in Clovis in 2005. The prosecutor accused Sanchez of ordering the execution style murders, but the Sanchez defense team blames a notorious convicted killer.Investigators found a gruesome scene. Three men-tied up and shot at close range. They all eventually died. Sanchez is now on trial for the murders. Cameras were not allowed in court for the testimony of the lone survivor Cuahutemoc Valencia. Valencia said he and his friends came to a Clovis home to watch a soccer game. Instead, all four were tied up. Valencia escaped.

Dan Harralson is defending Gilberto Sanchez. He said, "He's going to testify the homicides occurred after he was gone from the situation and that Luis Basurto committed these homicides on his own."

Gabino Luis Basurto is now serving a life sentence for the same crime, but Basurto always maintained the murders were connected to a drug deal and he never pulled the trigger. If Sanchez is convicted, he Sanchez could also serve a life sentence.
